The Torm Gertrud is down near the Mobil Oil Terminal, in South Portland. Its’ vessel details are here but the ships is notable for its’ 2007 collision with the New Flame a Panamanian cargo ship in the Straight of Gibraltar.

The accident left the Torm Gertrud with little damage, but the New Flame, was not so lucky. The ship, broke in two and was partially submerged. There weren’t any injuries and it seems that any potential environmental damage was contained. The ship was salvaged for scrap metal and, a year later, the stern was finally removed.
