The 2005-built, Suezmax tanker Heather Knutsen, owned by Knutsen O.A.S., and operated by Canship Ugland, is in port. I think the Ugland ships are some of the prettiest, as this flickr page suggests.

As for Knutsen O.A.S., here’s a Decmber “news update” from their website:

-The price of oil has been halved during a short period of time. For us this is a negative development since our customers are producing crude oil. At the moment the price hovers around 40 US $ a barrel. If it remain at this level, or drop to even lower levels, it would have serious consequences for Norway and the offshore business…How far down the price of oil will fall is hard to predict. But I do hope we will soon see prices around 70 $ a barrel, Seglem says.

Here’s hoping!

Also, the St. John’s Telegram reports that the crew of the Heather Knutsen had a nice Christmas celebration this year.
